Walk With A Doc
Join Amanda Nelson, MD, and other providers in rheumatology, orthopedics, and physical therapy, and staff and researchers from UNC's Thurston Arthritis Research Center, Rheumatology Clinic, and Orthopaedics on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. rain (indoor track) or shine (walking trails) for an energizing walk at the UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont.

2nd Annual 5K Tar Heel Trailblazer
The Tar Heel Trailblazer is a 5k run/walk that will benefit the NC Jaycee Burn Center's aftercare programs. The cost for adults is $20 and includes a free t-shirt. Children under age 15 are free.

11th Annual Krispy Kreme Challenge to benefit UNC Children's Hospital
The annual Krispy Kreme Challenge race will be held on Feb. 14, 2015. Runners take off at 8:30 a.m. UNC Children's Hospital is the sole recipient of the funds raised at the event. Last year the race raised $200,000.

Health is Primary Community Run/Walk
Health is Primary Community 5K Run/Walk, organized by the UNC Undergraduate Family Medicine Interest Group and Carolina Cupboard: Community Food Pantry, is a FREE 5K open to the Chapel Hill/Carrboro community. There will be no official timing system, there are NO registration fees, and the event is open to all. Participants are asked to bring 1-3 nonperishable food items (if they are able) to support Carolina Cupboard (UNC's campus food pantry) and other local food pantries in Durham and Orange County.

Supporters of Bike Ride Benefiting UNC Kidney Patients Share Their Story
UNC Kidney Center Director Ron Falk, MD, recently sat down for a conversation with Smith Doss and Claude Monnier, two incredible individuals who support the annual Raven Rock Ramble bike race as corporate-level sponsors, volunteers and participants. The Raven Rock Ramble, which is organized by David Cole, is a 100-mile bike ride, which promotes awareness of organ donation issues, and benefits the UNC Kidney Center. The 15th Raven Rock Ramble is on Sunday, May 1.

3rd Annual DNA Day 5K
The 3rd annual DNA Day 5K run will take place on April 11. This year the race has partnered with the UNC Science Expo put on by the Morehead Science Center. Come run the race and stay for some amazing science.
