Captains and Walkers Needed for the Komen Race for the Cure
UNC Health Care and UNC REX Healthcare are looking for captains to form teams and recruit walkers for The Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Race for the Cure.

Dr. Roper Appoints Kevin M. Guskiewicz as Interim Chancellor of UNC-Chapel Hill
University of North Carolina System Interim President William L. Roper has named Kevin M. Guskiewicz as interim chancellor of UNC-Chapel Hill. The appointment is effective immediately.

The University will test the emergency sirens and Alert Carolina System on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, between noon and 1 p.m. The sirens and messaging system are tested regularly throughout the year to make sure the equipment and notification processes work as planned.

Beacon Program Seeking "Beacon Champions"
The UNC Hospitals Beacon Program is looking for members of the UNC Health Care community to volunteer to serve as “Beacon Champions”. Beacon Champions are employees who work directly with patients and are willing to help promote the services of the Beacon program.

Help Stuff the Bus
The Stuff the Bus campaign collects school supplies for children in need in Orange, Wake and now Johnston County schools. Supplies will be collected between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 10. Donations for Orange County Schools may be made in front of the NC Women's Hospital. Donations for Wake County Schools may be made in the lot adjacent to the UNC REX Patient Tower entrance.
