Following the Epic@UNC Upgrade, ambulatory clinicians will be able to use the Visit Taskbar, ​which appears at the bottom of the encounter workspace, to review information and navigate through ​the chart to different activities without losing track of what orders they've placed.

​​The April 6 Epic@UNC Upgrade will include a switch from the “traditional” view to the “widescreen” view for a subset of providers (see full list below). With the “widescreen” view, users will no longer have the ability to use the Visit Navigator view. This is a required change by Epic in an attempt to increase the clinical workspace area and reduce scrolling.

Starting Monday, March 11, you will be able to visit the Epic@UNC Playground to preview new features that are coming April 6 with the Epic@UNC Upgrade. We recommend that everyone spend approximately two hours in March in the Playground, attending a WebEx, or reviewing training materials to ensure you’re prepared for the April 6 upgrade.
