New feature to offer updates from the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development
The Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development exists to support the development of medical school faculty and to assure their academic success. Beginning this month, and running every other week, Vital Signs will run a new feature from our Office. Check back regularly for exciting updates related to new faculty development opportunities; information on appointments, promotion, and tenure; updates related to the wellness of the institution; event notifications; and more.

APWIMS Hosts Panel on Daily Career and Life Transitions of Women Faculty
Last week, the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development and the Association of Professional Women in Medical Sciences (APWIMS) hosted a panel focused on the Daily Career and Life Transitions of women faculty. Over 80 women from the School of Medicine and the Adams School of Dentistry participated in the event.

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development (FALD) team attended the 2019 Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) joint Group on Faculty Affairs (GFA) and Group on Women in Medicine and Science (GWIMS) Annual Meeting. The Office of FALD team presented two posters.

Save the Date – School of Medicine Wellness Week
Save the date for the School of Medicine Wellness Week to be held November 18th – 22nd. There will be a variety of events held, including a visiting professor keynote with Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD, from the NYU School of Medicine.
