Ambulatory Clinics achieve record-breaking patient satisfaction scores, Top Five clinics named
UNC’s Outpatient clinics averaged a score of 90.9 for patient satisfaction from July 2009 – June 2010, which puts them in the 79th percentile nationwide. The latest set of “Top Five” clinics include: PreCare, Reproductive Endocrine, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, and Pediatric Gastroenterology. The Wound Clinic was most improved.

Antoniak receives postdoctoral fellowship from the Myocarditis Foundation
Dr. Silvio Antoniak has received a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Myocarditis Foundation. Dr. Antoniak is a member of the Mackman Lab in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and UNC McAllister Heart Institute.

AACR Names Perou 2009 Outstanding Investigator for Breast Cancer Research
Calling his work “one of the most important findings in breast cancer and health disparities in the last decade,” the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) has named Charles M. Perou, PhD the 2009 Outstanding Investigator Award for Breast Cancer Research, funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
