Changes to Registration Operations beginning Nov. 26
The last day patients will register in Memorial Admissions & Registration will be Wednesday, Nov. 21. Starting Monday, Nov. 26, all registration activities previously handled in Memorial Admissions & Registration will now be redirected to Women’s Registration. New registration stations and a seating area will be constructed in the Women’s Hospital lobby to accommodate the increased registration volume.

S11 Shuttle will pick up and drop off at the Manning level of the Cancer Hospital starting Nov. 26
In order to limit vehicular traffic in front of the hospital, the S11 shuttle will drop off and pick up from the Manning Dr. level Cancer Hospital entrance beginning Nov. 26.

Manning Drive Closed Weekends of Oct. 26 – 28, Nov. 9 – 11 for Demolition of Bridge ‘A’ (Dental School Bridge)
In order to facilitate the demolition of Bridge A (that spans Manning Drive at West Drive and connects to the Dental School), Manning Drive will be closed on the following weekends from East Drive to Columbia St.

UNC Health Care Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Surgical Tower
Special speakers and dozens of UNC colleagues and friends gathered Monday in the NC Cancer Hospital Courtyard to officially kick off construction for a new surgical tower scheduled for completion in 2022.

Staff may not be dropped off in front of the hospital
With pedestrian and vehicular access to Memorial and the Children’s Hospital now closed, it is important that we ensure patients who need to be dropped off at the Women’s and Cancer Hospital entrances are able to do so.

Manning Drive Closure Scheduled for Nov. 9-12
Manning Drive will be closed to through traffic the weekend of Nov. 9-12 for the removal of the pedestrian bridge connecting the Cardinal Parking Deck, Tarrson Hall and West Drive. During the weekends of Nov. 9, Manning Drive will be closed between South Columbia Street and East Drive from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured along Mason Farm Road and East Drive. Pedestrians should remain alert to traffic changes and follow designated pedestrian detours.
