Building Change to Voice Over IP (VOIP) project
As a result of issues found during the initial building surveys, the following buildings will NOT be part of the phone migration scheduled for November 2013: MacNider, Old Clinic, and Lineberger. Each of them will require some engineering work before they can be migrated (see details below). Once the engineering work is complete, the buildings will be put back in rotation for migration. The deadline for getting all buildings on campus migrated is the end of 2014.

UNC-1 Wireless Access to be removed from several SOM buildings September 23
The UNC-1 Wireless SSID will be removed from the following School of Medicine buildings on Monday, Sept. 23: Berryhill, Brinkhous-Bullitt, Lineberger, Radiology Research (MRI), Medical Research Building B). To avoid losing wireless connectivity, users should install the UNC-Secure configuration as soon as possible.

OIS System Updates - Dec. 4 and Dec. 6
The OIS Systems team is scheduling system updates to three servers. The first set of updates will take place on Sunday Dec. 4 beginning at 10 a.m. and complete by 11:30 a.m. The second on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 9 p.m. - 11 p.m.

POSTPONED: Changes to Outlook Web App
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH THIS TRANSITION, THIS CHANGE WAS REVERTED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE. On Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 8 a.m. ITS will point to the new Exchange 2013 servers. The only change users should notice is a new Outlook Web Application (OWA) login page. After entering their username and password, users will be redirected to the familiar 2010 OWA interface.
