Surgery Grand Rounds, Keith Payne, PhD, "The Science of Implicit Bias"
This talk will overview the research on the nature of implicit bias, and how it differs from explicit prejudice. I will discuss the ways that implicit bias can lead to unintended discrimination and exclusion even among people who intend to be fair. And I will discuss some evidence-based strategies for mitigating harmful impacts.
