Sunshine Act Updates—Physician Registration Information
Registration on CMS’s website is voluntary; however, physicians must complete Phase 2 of the CMS registration process if they wish to review their personal financial information before it is made publicly available on Sept. 30, 2014.

Sunshine Act/Open Payments Update: Annual Review and Dispute Period Underway
CMS has opened the 45-day review and dispute period for 2015 data on the Open Payments (Sunshine Act) system. Between April 1 and May 15, physicians can review reported information before it is made available to the public. If any of the reported payments appear to be inaccurate, physicians may resolve the dispute directly with the manufacturer until May 15.

The Academy of Educators Is Now Accepting Member Nominations
The Academy of Educators (AOE) is now accepting nominations for new faculty and resident members. The AOE, founded in October 2006 as a part of the School of Medicine’s strategic plan to enhance research and scholarship towards excellence in teaching, currently has 375 faculty and resident members. The deadline for receiving completed applications from all nominees is Friday, March 16, 2018.
