The incidence of melanoma continues to rise rapidly in this country. Increasingly, the management of the melanoma patient requires multiple healthcare providers. This course is specifically designed for a multidisciplinary view of the care of the melanoma patient. UNC Lineberger’s Leukemia Program offers both diagnostic and therapeutic services by incorporating specialists who have developed expertise from multiple disciplines in the care of blood and marrow cancers. These specialists work as a single patient care team who firmly believe that research will improve care of leukemia patients.

5k Run/Walk To End Bladder Cancer
The North Carolina chapter of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) is proud to host the 2020 5k Run/Walk to End Bladder Cancer. There is both a 5k course for runners and 1-mile course for those who wish to walk. We are also looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks on the day of the event. This is a great way for middle or high school students to earn volunteer hours.

J. Richard Udry Distinguished Lecture: Teresa Seeman
Teresa Seeman, PhD, is Professor of Epidemiology at the Fielding School of Public Health and of Medicine in the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Trained as an epidemiologist, with post-doctoral training in neuroendocrinology, her research interests are inter-disciplinary, focusing on role of social and psychological factors in health and aging, with particular interest in elucidating the biological pathways through which such factors impact on health.

UNC TEACCH® Autism Program Training: Beyond the Basics: Advanced Applications of TEACCH Principles & Practices Seminar
This three-day seminar is designed as continuing professional development for individuals who previously completed the Five-Day Hands-On Training. Topics addressed include extensions of content presented at the TEACCH Five-Day that will help professionals move beyond the basic implementation of Structured TEACCHing concepts as well as strategies for coaching and supporting other professionals. The format of this seminar is presentation, discussion, and case studies presented via video/scenarios with participants working in small groups to complete active learning assignments.
