Important information for working from home during Condition 1 and 2
With the looming weather, some people may need to work from home when the University moves to Condition 1 and 2. It is recommended that School of Medicine personnel ensure they can access files and network drives from off campus using VPN in advance of the storm.

School of Medicine IT launches new hub model
The first School of Medicine IT Support Hub opened for business in mid-April, serving clients in the Physician’s Office Building, Family Medicine, and Radiation Oncology areas. Additional hubs are set to follow in the coming months, with the Central Hub, supporting clients on the north side of Manning Drive, opening in July. Going forward, desktop support and other infrastructure services will be offered through hubs staffed by IT professionals strategically located throughout the School of Medicine campus.

In January 2018, 12 percent of A1c test completions and 8 percent of flu shot completions in Epic@UNC were pulled in from other health systems. Upcoming School of Medicine planned network outage may affect you
The School of Medicine network will have a partial outage on Saturday, May 19th from 7 a.m. to 12 noon impacting several campus buildings. Services affected in those buildings include desk phones, internet, EPIC, network file shares and printing. Read more for buildings affected by this maintenance.
