Correction to last week's Faculty Elections article
We mistakenly identified Dr. Bruce Cairns as the first School of Medicine faculty member elected as the Chair of the Faculty. In fact, Dr. Sue Estroff served from 2000-2003 and Dr. Harry Gooder served from 1989-1991. We sincerely apologize for this error.

Myron Cohen five-year review
An ad hoc committee has been appointed to undertake a routine administrative review of the leadership provided by Dr. Myron Cohen, MD, in his position as Director of the Institute for Global Health & Infectious Diseases. The five-year review is a standard procedure of the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The review will take place over the next four to five weeks.

The Norma Berryhill Distinguished Lecture is our annual convocation. It is a time when we reflect upon our School’s splendid heritage of collegiality and excellence, to which Norma Berryhill contributed so much. It is also the occasion on which we formally welcome our newest faculty members. Please read for instructions for nominating a member of the School of Medicine faculty.
