Meaningful Use requires that we not only show that comfort measures were ordered in appropriate cases, but also that they were performed. UNC Health Care's Clinical Informatics Group has approved a flowsheet row in the 'Daily Cares' flowsheet to collect this information starting January 2017 for all inpatient nursing units using Epic@UNC.

On July 5, 2018 a new section will be added to the Vital Signs flowsheet in Epic@UNC to allow documentation of Patient Reported (Home) Blood Pressures. This section will also display blood pressures entered via My UNC Chart. All Patient Reported (Home) Blood Pressures should be recorded in this flowsheet section and not in the Vital Signs section of the Navigator.
