New iPhone Health App Functionality Gives UNC Health Care Patients Centralized Access to Medical Records
UNC Health Care patients are now among the first patients in the United States with the ability to access their medical records from multiple providers through the Apple iPhone Health app (for phones running iOS 11.3 or later).

UNC Medicine Clinic at Panther Creek Opens to Serve More Wake County Patients
UNC Health Care at Panther Creek, located at the corner of Highway 55 and McCrimmon Parkway, officially opened on Jan. 21, 2020, placing department of medicine specialists from internal medicine, cardiology, pulmonology and nephrology alongside a variety of UNC Health Care entities to better serve the growing population of western Wake County.

Child Maltreatment Outreach Service connects UNC Health Care hospitals via Telemedicine
A grant from The Duke Endowment funded the creation of the Telemedicine Child Maltreatment Outreach Service. The service connects six UNC Health Care facilities to the UNC Child Protection Team for consultation in suspected cases of child abuse.

For her father, Morgan runs to support cancer research
Katie Morgan, PharmD, a clinical pharmacist working with neuro-oncology and genitourinary-oncology patients at the N.C. Cancer Hospital, found her calling during her father's four-year battle with glioblastoma. To honor him and others fighting brain cancer, Morgan is running in the Head for the Cure 5K, which will be held Sept. 8 in Chapel Hill to raise money for brain cancer research.
