Department of Allied Health Sciences Announces Winners of the 2019 Student Research Ambassador Award

Crais elected to ASHA 2019 Board of Directors
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has selected Elizabeth (Betsy) Crais, PhD, to serve on the ASHA Board of Directors as the vice president for academic affairs in speech-language pathology. Her term will begin January 1, 2019, and she will serve a three-year term.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Alumna Ali Sherron ’16 (’19 DPT) Works with Patients with COVID-19 at UNC Rex Healthcare
Ali Sherron joined UNC REX Healthcare as a physical therapist in September 2019; six months into her role conducting inpatient care, Sherron began work on ICU and non-ICU floors treating patients who contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
