​​​​​​​​​​There is an issue in the comprehensive flowsheet where IV med doses are being calculated like volume within a given time interval. ​Epic is working on a fix for this issue. In the meantime, if the dose does not look correct in the comprehensive flowsheet, drill down into the flowsheet to see the correct information.​

Therapy Plans and Oncology Treatment Plans now trigger Advanced Beneficiary Notices (ABNs) for procedures (labs) and medications. These ABN’s are visible to every department; however, it may not be appropriate for a particular department to address an ABN from a therapy/ treatment plan. It is important that departments know how to determine if the ABN’s should be addressed. Click here to see how you can determine where the ABN came from, and, whether it applies to your department.

Inpatient Providers: New 'Indwelling Urinary Catheter' order to combine three existing orders
Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 7, several new tools will be available in Epic@UNC to address CAUTI (Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections). These tools include a new 'Indwelling Urinary Catheter' order that will combine three existing orders (NUR380, NUR378, and NUR379) and impact User Ordersets and personal Preference Lists.

Several changes to the Inpatient/ED After Visit Summary (AVS) will be effective Wednesday, Oct. 18. The key change is that the AVS will now be two documents to ensure the page break between the patient's information and the signature page is consistent. See a screenshot at this Intranet link.

ISD must upgrade multiple servers Monday, Feb. 5, through Thursday, Feb. 8, which will cause several downtimes for Capsule, Philips, Mindray, Spacelabs, and Spot Check monitors. View the schedule below and note that during these downtime periods, vitals will not auto-flow into Epic@UNC - you will need to manually enter vitals into Epic@UNC during this time.

Healthwise Patient Instructions updated Aug. 1
The Healthwise patient instructions found through the Clinical References (or References) link in Epic@UNC were upgraded on Aug. 1. This upgrade includes 76 new patient instructions and a new language (Bengali).
