New image viewer for Cardiology Images in Epic@UNC
On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, the image hyperlinks in Epic@UNC for new cardiology studies at UNC Medical Center, UNC REX Healthcare, Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Chatham Hospital, Johnston Health, and Pardee Hospital will transition from SynapseCV to UNC Health Care’s new viewer, called NIL.

The filters on the 'Enter Edit Results' window needs to be reviewed to make sure that the date range is appropriate. Inpatient Nurses, Periop Nurses, Respiratory Therapists: eLearning for ‘First-Dose Med Education’ now available
After Epic@UNC Go-Live #6, users will be able to document education given to a patient when a first dose of a new medication or infusion is administered. This new functionality, called ‘First-Dose Med Education,’ is detailed in an eLearning module now available in LMS.

There will be a 2-hour SafetraceTX Blood Bank system downtime from 6 - 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, for required system maintenance. During this downtime you will be able to place orders in Epic@UNC; however, the Blood Bank will not be able to act on any orders until the downtime ends.

Due to the declining number of influenza cases across North Carolina, the flu screening Best Practice Advisory (BPA) in Epic@UNC will be deactivated for both inpatient and outpatient users on Monday, April 16. Please continue to screen patients for influenza and document appropriately.
