Greenwall Foundation: Making a Difference in Real-World Bioethics Dilemmas
UPCOMING DEADLINE: The Greenwall Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) to support research to help resolve an emerging or unanswered bioethics problem in clinical care, biomedical research, public health practice or public policy. The Foundation’s aim is to fund innovative projects that will have a real-world, practical impact. Priority for funding will be given to collaborative projects involving a bioethics scholar and persons with on-the-ground experience in organizations where bioethics dilemmas arise, for example, in clinical care; biomedical research; biotechnology, pharmaceutical, big data and artificial intelligence companies; or public service. Award amount varies. LOI deadline is January 8, 2018 at 11:59pm ET.

MSTAR Grant Awarded, Open to Medical Students
The UNC Center for Aging and Health/Division of Geriatric Medicine, has been awarded a federal training grant designed to impact aging populations. The Medical Students Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) Program is a five-year National Institute on Aging T35 short-term training grant in aging research for medical students. The goal is to cultivate greater exposure to and interest in aging research and geriatrics.
