Caregivers at Carolina RFA now available
Caregivers at Carolina is a program for physician scientists facing extraprofessional caregiving demands. Funding of up to $40,000 per year is available for one to two years to provide direct research support or buy out of clinical time for physician scientists facing substantial caregiving demands at home. Application deadline is March 22, 2019.

Vote to elect faculty representatives to the School of Medicine’s Post-Tenure Review Committee
Earlier this summer, faculty endorsed proposed amendments to the UNC School of Medicine Constitution and Bylaws by majority vote. One such change is the addition of two elected faculty representatives to the School of Medicine’s Post-Tenure Review Committee. Full professors with tenure who have successfully completed a Post-Tenure Review within the past two years are eligible to stand for election. Please be on the lookout for your email invitation to vote in this year’s Post-Tenure Review Committee Faculty Representative Election.

UNC School of Medicine elects new Standing Committee Members
Each year, the UNC School of Medicine Standing Committees Election offers faculty an opportunity to participate in medical school governance by serving on a committee as a faculty representative or simply voting in the election. This year’s election selected new faculty representatives for the three committees that review appointments and promotions.
