Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation: Damon Runyon-Sohn Pediatric Fellowship Awards
The Foundation is accepting applications to fund basic scientists and clinicians who conduct research with the potential to significantly impact the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of one or more pediatric cancers. Candidates must apply for the fellowship under the guidance of a Sponsor – a scientist (tenured, tenure-track or equivalent position) capable of providing mentorship to the Fellow. Award amount is up to $52,000 per year. The application deadline is March 15, 2017.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: 2017 Interdisciplinary Research Leaders
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is accepting applications for its national leadership program. This call for applications seeks teams of researchers and community members working together to produce community-relevant, action-oriented research to improve health and well-being. For the September 2017 IRL cohort, applicant organizations will be presented teams of three that will focus on one of these two research areas: youth development approaches for the prevention of violence and promotion of health; and community and individual resilience in health. Award amount is up to $350,000 over three years. The application deadline is March 8, 2017 by 3:00pm EST.

Established in 1999, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund/ASTMH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Tropical Infectious Diseases, provides funding for individuals to conduct research in tropical infectious diseases (and, on occasion, other clinical conditions unique to tropical medicine). It is designed to stimulate or sustain interest in research in tropical infectious diseases by individuals who are planning academic career paths focused on clinical research in order to build a long-term academic presence for our field in the U.S. and Canada.

Rheumatology Research Foundation: Career Development Award
The Rheumatology Research Foundation (RRF) is accepting applications to support junior investigators transitioning to independent investigators. The NIH K series and VA CDA awards provide limited resources to cover research costs, such as essential laboratory supplies or support staff (e.g. salary support for research technician, database assistant or statistician), which are crucial to the successful transition of junior investigators to independent investigators. Award amount up to $50,000 per year for up to two (2) years. The application deadline is August 1, 2017 by 5:00pm ET.

Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation: Damon Runyon Physician-Scientist Training Award
The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation is accepting applications from physicians interested in pursuing research intensively (up to 80% effort) for up to four years, while, if they wish to maintain their clinical skills, continue to be clinically active (no more than 20% effort). To be eligible, applicants must have MDs only and must have completed their residencies and clinical training and be US Specialty Board eligible prior to the award start date. Award amount up to $460,000 over four (4) years. The application deadline is December 1, 2017.

Amyloidosis Foundation: 2016 Research Grant
The Amyloidosis Foundation is accepting applications from candidates who have completed their doctoral studies or clinical fellowship within ten years prior to the application. Projects must align with the Foundation's mission to support basic biomedical and clinical research on systemic amyloidosis. Award amount is up to $25,000 per year for up to two years. Children's Tumor Foundation: Clinical Research Awards
The Children's Tumor Foundation is accepting pre-applications to support early stage pilot clinical trials of candidate therapeutics for the treatment of tumors and other manifestations of NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis or innovative clinical studies, e.g. being conducted adjunct to clinical trials that could contribute to the advancement of effective clinical therapies for NF. Award amount is up to $150,000 for 18-24 months. Pre-application deadline is June 20.
