Mauro Receives Society of Interventional Radiology Gold Medal
UNC Department of Radiology Chair Matthew A. Mauro, MD, FSIR, received the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Gold Medal at SIR's 39th Annual Scientific Meeting on March 25, 2014. The SIR Gold Medal, the Society's highest career honor, is bestowed for distinguished and extraordinary service to SIR or to the discipline of interventional radiology.

Virtual Reality Shows Promise for Early Detection of MS Balance Problems
The UNC School of Medicine lab of Jason Franz, PhD, created virtual reality experiments to show how a potentially portable and inexpensive test could reduce falls and related injuries in people with multiple sclerosis.
