HIV Care in 2016: Clinical Update and Vulnerable Populations
The purpose of this symposium is to provide health care providers with an update on the care and treatment of HIV-infected patients who are now living longer lives. Specifically, topics included will address: recent HIV treatment advances, management of HIV/Hep C co-infected patients, Hep C guideline update, pre-exposure prophylaxis, opioid replacement, retention models, and emerging issues in HIV. There will be a separate and second track for case managers, nurses, psychologists and substance abuse counselors who care for HIV-infected patients.

Overview of Adult HIV Care for New Clinicians
The North Carolina AIDS Training and Education Center (NCATEC) will be hosting a comprehensive 2-day training event on October 30-31 in Charlotte, NC. The event is designed for clinicians including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists and PAs who seek to improve their HIV treatment skills. Topics include current HIV treatment regimens and initiation guidelines, new hepatitis C treatments, PrEP, opportunistic infections, contraception, preconception, pregnancy, and more. CMEs offered.

North Carolina Research Triangle Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium
The seventh annual Research Triangle Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium will be held Friday, Oct. 30 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Brier Creek. The symposium will provide pulmonologists, cardiologists, and other interested physicians and allied healthcare providers the opportunity to learn about the current landscape in PH epidemiology, diagnostics, and treatment.
