UNC Health Care to transfer $20 million to University to help offset budget cuts
UNC-Chapel Hill’s budget cuts of more than $100 million, or 17.9% of its state appropriation, will be partially offset by a $20 million transfer of funds from UNC Health Care to help the University and the UNC School of Medicine absorb the cuts. UNC Health Care annually transfers funds to the School of Medicine for mission, academic and clinical support.

Yield to Heels Day April 13
On Wednesday, April 13, UNC will work to educate pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers around campus on the importance of visibility and attentiveness as a part of its “Yield to Heels,” an on-campus pedestrian safety education campaign.

F-15 flyover at the Sept. 18 UNC football game
Four F-15s will participate in a flyover just prior to the noon kickoff of the UNC - Georgia Tech football game Saturday, Sept. 18. Practice runs will be made Thursday, Sept. 16, between 10:45 - 11 a.m.

UNC home football games affect parking, transportation
The first home football game of the year will be this Saturday, Sept. 18 at noon. Please plan appropriately as you travel to/from UNC Hospitals and the School of Medicine, as traffic will be heavy several hours before game time. Also, remember that certain parking lots are reserved for the six UNC home football games.

Student move-in begins
UNC student move-in officially began on Wednesday, Aug. 18. In order to provide students with close access to the residential halls, the Department of Public Safety is blocking spaces for unloading. Please plan ahead and build in extra time if you are traveling to/from UNC Hospitals during student move-in days.
