2nd Annual UNC Adult Cystic Fibrosis fall fundraiser, this Sunday
For chronically ill patients, patient assistance offers peace of mind that helps patients focus on health and healing. To raise funds for patients with cystic fibrosis and collect food for people in need, the UNC Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center will host the second annual fall fundraiser and cornhole tournament this Sunday, from 12 - 4 pm, at 400 Market Street in Southern Village in Chapel Hill.

2nd Floor I-40 Corridor Work
Starting Monday, Nov. 12, Plant Engineering will be conducting core sampling in the second floor corridor that runs from Old Clinic to the Neurosciences Hospital, commonly known as I-40, and adjacent mechanical spaces in an effort to determine the cause of the flooring issues we continue to experience in this area. Work will occur after hours, starting at 5 p.m., in an effort to minimize disruption to patients, visitors and staff.

Occupational Health Services will provide influenza vaccine to UNC Medical Center personnel beginning on Monday, September 10. Adult Rapid Response Calls Go Silent Jan. 6, 2020
​Starting Monday, Jan. 6 at 7 a.m., Adult Rapid Response code calls at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill will no longer be announced overhead. Hospital operators will be notifying Adult Rapid Response team members of emergent situations by both Vocera and pager. This change in practice will result in a quieter environment and will decrease the anxiety that patients and families experience when hearing overhead emergency calls.
