Carolina For the Kids to fund new clinic

Farmworker Student Health Alliance Members Making Masks, Videos to Support At-Risk Workers
UNC SOM student members of the Farmworker Student Health Alliance (FSHA) are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by making fabric masks for farmworkers in North Carolina and creating educational videos in Spanish to help these at-risk workers stay healthy.

Four SOM Students Named NC Schweitzer Fellows
Lauren Halsey, Stephen Himmelberg, Sumaiya Mubarack, and Micayla Jones are four of 25 class members in the 2020-21 North Carolina Albert Schweitzer Fellowship (NCASF). Students will spend the next year learning to effectively address the social factors that impact health, and developing lifelong leadership skills, following the example set by famed physician-humanitarian Albert Schweitzer, for whom their Fellowship is named.
