The keynote speaker at the annual UNC Hospitals Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. program will be Brad Julian, Environmental Services Manager at UNC Hospitals and Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador for 2020 for Environmental Services. There will be musical selections performed by the Nile Hargrove Trio and vocal selections by Colandra McDowell. All employees are invited to attend.

Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Nicole Sartor, RN, MSN, C-PNP-PC. This talk will address common myths of palliative and hospice care and explore multiple points along the health trajectory of a patient when a team might consider a palliative care consult. We will consider possible sources of suffering and interventions. RN and Allied Health lectures offer FREE CNE and ASRT continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants. We invite anyone interested to view our lectures.

The narrow therapeutic index of oncology drugs makes understanding drug interactions critical for the safe and effective treatment of cancer patients. Small changes in the pharmacodynamics or pharmacokinetics of the drug can decrease efficacy or increase toxicity of the cancer drug potentially causing harm to patients during treatment. FREE CNE and ASRT continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants.
