American Asthma Foundation: 2016 AAF Scholar Awards
The 2016 American Asthma Foundation Scholar Awards support highly innovative research from investigators across the broad spectrum of science, including chemists, physicists and engineers. The awards seek to draw outstanding investigators from other fields into the study of asthma; most AAF Scholars are studying asthma for the first time. Award funding is up to $450,000 over three (3) years. Application deadline is December 1, 2015.

American Cancer Society: Clinical Scientist Development Grant (CSDG)
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is accepting applications to support the development of clinicians as clinical scientists. CDSGs provide support for protected time to allow junior faculty who see patients to be mentored and participate in research training to aid their development as independent clinician scientists. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is accepting applications to support creative and innovative projects that hold significant promise for advancing the prevention, cure or treatment of diabetes. Early and established investigators, including those who have not previously worked in the field of diabetes, may apply for this award. For the purposes of this award, basic research is defined as investigation into the fundamental cellular, molecular and biochemical mechanisms underlying the development, detection, treatment and management of diabetes and its complications. Award amount up to $115,000 per year for up to three (3) years. The application deadline is April 16, 2018 by 5:00pm ET.
