‘Health Information Management’ department name standardized across UNC Health Care
Effective Jan. 1, 2014, the Medical Information Management department at UNC Hospitals and the Medical Records departments at High Point Regional and Pardee Hospital will change their names to “Health Information Management."

‘Wanna Wear One Campaign’ provides support for UNC Hospitals’ ostomy patients
The success of the Wanna Wear One campaign held at UNC Hospitals three years ago led ostomy nurse Lara Leininger to try it again in 2013. This year’s three-day event brought even more participants out to demonstrate support for UNC Hospitals’ ostomy patients and raise awareness about their experiences.

2019 Innovation Well-Being Pilot Award Winner Announced
The UNC System-Wide Integrated Well-Being Program and Center for Health Innovation are pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Innovation Well-Being Pilot Award. Proposals were sought from UNC Health Care and School of Medicine faculty and employees for innovations focused on preventing and treating burnout, facilitating efficiency of practice, and promoting a culture of wellness.

A message from UNC Movember Headquarters
For the last three years, students, faculty and staff at UNC and UNC Health Care have participated in Movember - a global fundraising campaign committed to changing the face of men’s health. The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for men’s health programs that focus on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Our 2015 goal is to raise $50,000 - we hope you'll consider donating, growing, or both!

ACC 2nd Floor Entrance Closed for Renovation
Beginning March 29th at 5 p.m., the 2nd floor entrance into the ACC building will be closed for renovation. Patients and visitors and staff will be redirected to the lower parking lot where they will enter the building on the 1st floor to access all floors of the building. The upper parking lot will remain open for handicapped access parking only.
