UNC Health Care has partnered with Access One to offer an alternative financing solution for patients. Patients will now be able to make payment arrangements through Access One offering zero to low interest payment plans. Training sessions will be offered for staff working in the following areas: Front Desk/Registration, Financial Counseling, PFS Customer Service, and Pre-Arrival/Pre-Registration. One leader and super user from areas with front desk/registration staff are required to attend one of the training sessions and will be responsible for sharing information with staff. Action Required: Front Facing Staff Uniforms and Fitting/Ordering Sessions
Fitting and ordering sessions for the uniform polo shirts are next week, April 15 - 17. Additional information regarding dates, times, and locations available at this link. Employees must attend a session next week to order their shirts. A UNC Health Care ID badge will be required to order. For staff who will be on PTO or otherwise cannot attend, there will be an online ordering period from April 22 – May 3.

Active Shooter Response Training
Active Shooter Response Training is a one-hour class offered by UNC Hospitals Police for all UNC Health Care staff. Classes will be held at the Hedrick Building and the Hillsborough Campus. Please log in to LMS to sign up.

This course is to teach employees how to respond in the event of an active shooter incident. Please register for the "Violence Awareness and Active Shooter LMS module prior to registering for one of the sessions, using the course code UNCHHPAS. Sessions are available throughout the year in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Morrisville.

During the Epic@UNC Go-Live period of April 4 - 18, Nutrition & Food Services will offer an additional Epic 5% FreedomPay discount in the Corner Café, The Terrace Café, and the Overlook Café venues from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., from 2 - 3 p.m., and from 12:01 - 3 a.m. (for pick-up from the main kitchen). This means a total FreedomPay savings of 25% during these time periods!
