Open Notes for Ambulatory Providers: Coming Oct. 13
As a reminder, as part of our next Epic@UNC quarterly release, Open Notes will go live across all UNC Health Care ambulatory clinics on Sunday, Oct. 13. This is an effort to improve patient care, patient satisfaction, and transparency.

It is Best Practice for Providers to Print a copy of their personalized order sets (User Version) prior to any system upgrades, Order set and/or Quarterly Releases. With any order set release there is always the possibility that User Order Versions will be removed. See the updates here.

Planned October 4 Downtime: Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular PACS System
A planned downtime is scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday, October 4, until 6 a.m. Saturday, October 5, for the Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular PACS System at all locations using Epic@UNC.

​In an effort to consolidate data across our health care system, some result component base names have been combined to a single value. This change has allowed us to streamline the results console build to a single line for most lab values. As a result, you may need to update your personal Smartphrases or SmartLinks with the new base names in order to pull in these lab values.
