UNC-Chapel Hill’s budget cuts of more than $100 million, or 17.9% of its state appropriation, will be partially offset by a $20 million transfer of funds from UNC Health Care to help the University and the UNC School of Medicine absorb the cuts. UNC Health Care annually transfers funds to the School of Medicine for mission, academic and clinical support.
The final bills approved by the recent State Legislature create another enrollment period from July 18 - 29 for the State Health Plan because of the changes made to the cost and coverage.
