The second enrollment begins Monday, July 18 and ends Friday, July 29. UNC Health Care will spend more than $800,000 to increase the current amount of the Health Insurance Special Pay (HISP) to offset the cost associated with the changes effective with the August payroll. During this enrollment, employees have another opportunity to change plan elections and add eligible dependents. Employees who elected the 70/30 Basic plan are no longer restricted by the non-smoker and BMI requirements, and can change to the 80/20 plan. All changes are effective Sept. 1, 2011.
