Introducing myUNCHealthLink
As part of our Commitment to Caring for our patients and employees, UNC Health Care is offering a new, free online service to help manage your health care called myUNCHealthLink. Through this portal, patients can manage appointments, pay UNC Hospitals and UNC P&A bills online, and ask questions through the secure messaging system.
Partnering with Patients and Families Webinar series
The Partnering with Patients and Families Committee invites you and your team to participate in an upcoming webinar series sponsored by the Institute of Patient and Family Centered Care. The topics of the Webinars are designed to provide tools and techniques to ensure utilization of the principles of Partnering with Patients and Families in our practice.
Employee Health Fair

Martha Killough’s Freedom Day
If you are a smoker or are close to someone who is, you may have found that smoking can impact relationships. Martha Killough, an outpatient coordinator in the N.C. Cancer Hospital, discovered this. After being married to a non-smoker for two years, she became depressed about the distance smoking put between her and her husband.

Chapel Hill Transit August service adjustments
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) has finalized its service adjustments that will take effect Aug. 15. The adjustments were developed in an effort to make the financing of the transit system more sustainable for the future and discussed with the public during a series of forums held earlier this month.
FreedomPay vending machine options begin Aug. 1
Beginning Aug. 1, FreedomPay users will be able to pay for vending machine items with their FreedomPay white or blue tags.

Additional State Health Plan enrollment period in July
As a result of the N.C. Legislature’s approved budget for 2011-12, a second annual enrollment for the State Health Plan will be conducted Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 29. Coverage changes based on this enrollment begin Sept. 1.
