National Nutrition Month - “Eat right with color!”
"Eat right with color!" What does that mean? It means that Registered Dietitians are encouraging everyone to make healthful choices to include foods that are rich in nutrients. It’s back to the basics of eating a variety of foods, especially fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, fish, poultry and low fat dairy products – the more colorful your plate, the better!

Core Lab memo: CA-125 reportable range
The lower reportable limit for CA-125 has been extended down to 2.0 U/mL (previously 5.5 U/mL). The coefficient of variation at 2.0 U/mL was determined to be <10%. Note that the reference range for the test will remain at 35 U/mL. Results lower than the reportable limit will be reported as 2.0 U/mL and the change is effective as of Feb. 28.

The HRx Project Team, implementing the new Lawson HR Management System, has been burning the midnight oil in order to meet the Jan. 1, 2012 "go live" date for the project. Chapel Hill Transit spring break schedule
Chapel Hill Transit will begin spring break service Saturday, March 5 and changes will last until Monday, March 14. The weekday CM, CW, D, J, NU and V routes will end earlier in the evening. The Saturday/Sunday U & NU routes will not operate. On Sunday, March 13, the U route will begin at 1:50 p.m. at the Carolina Coffee Shop and the NU route will begin at 1:45 p.m. at the PR lot.
Habitat for Humanity short on volunteers
There are still plenty of openings available for all employees, their families and friends to help build the UNC Health Care-sponsored Habitat for Humanity House.
Permit Alteration
No parking permits are to be altered in any way. This includes on campus permits, temporary permits and Park & Ride (CAP) permits. Permit alteration is against the parking ordinance for the University of North Carolina. Any permit alteration will result in towing, fines, and potential loss of all parking privileges.
Obtaining an affiliate permit for employee medical appointments
Employees who have medical appointments at the Hospitals may obtain an affiliate parking permit to park in the Dogwood Deck or ACC lot during their appointment. This permit will acknowledge to the traffic enforcement officers that the employee is parked there for a medical appointment and should not be cited for illegal parking.

One lane of Pittsboro Street (from Cameron Avenue to Manning Drive) will be closed Monday, March 7 – Friday, March 11.
