UNC Health Care, Pardee Hospital discuss partnership at meeting Tuesday
At a joint meeting of the Pardee Board of Directors and the Henderson County Commissioners on Tuesday, May 24, UNC Health Care made a proposal outlining the ways our system might assist Pardee Hospital in the future.
Lab Memo: RMSF Serologic testing update
Beginning May 23, the Immunology Laboratory will no longer offer latex agglutination (LA) testing for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) antibody. The laboratory will continue to perform the Indirect Fluorescent Antibody (IFA) on all sera.
Update on fiscal year 2011 goals
Results are in from the 3rd quarter of the 2011 fiscal year. Based on our organizational goals defined in the Employee Incentive Plan, we achieved our targets in 10 of 14 reporting areas through the 3rd quarter of the 2011 fiscal year (July 2010 – March 2011).

Linens 'n More Fundraising Sale
The Linens 'n More Fundraising Sale is taking place Tuesday, May 24 - Thursday, May 26 from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Neurosciences Hospital Lobby Retail Space. UNC Volunteer Association sponsors the sale and all proceeds support employee and volunteer scholarships as well as patient and hospital departmental needs.
Chapel Hill Transit Memorial Day schedule
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will not operate on Monday, May 30, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Lane Closures on South Columbia Street
Lane closures on South Columbia Street began May 20 and will continue through mid-August, as crews close lanes to perform routine maintenance and prepare for the upcoming project to widen and improve South Columbia Street.
