Aspiring Nurse Leaders (ANL) Week

The week of Nov. 5 -10 is our 5th annual Aspiring Nurse Leaders Week! This initiative was created in 2008 by your Shared Governance Nursing Professional Development Council.

This year we’ve invited the other shared governance councils to help us by each sponsoring a day.  It’s going to be another exciting week-long event. There are activities planned all week.  Click here to see a calendar of events. Thanks to the collective efforts of our shared governance councils, there will be something for everyone!

The highlight of the week will be our 2012 ANL week awards ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the 4th Floor Clinic Auditorium. Shielda Rodgers, Clinical Associate Professor from the UNC School of Nursing will be our guest speaker. Her talk, “Aspiring is not enough: Charting your course from aspiring to transformational” is about her personal journey in nursing and the difference we can all make.

During the awards ceremony, all of our service lines Aspiring Nurse Leaders of the Year will be celebrated. We hope that you’ll attend and support our colleagues in their achievements.  There will be a reception following the event.

So, mark your calendars for Nov. 5 – 10.  We’re looking forward to another exciting ANL week!
