PEARS is a class developed for and tailored to staff members who do not routinely resuscitate infants and children and are not approved to take PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). PEARS teaches early recognition of potentially life threatening conditions and steps to take to improve outcomes while enlisting the help of more advanced providers. This course focuses on improving pediatric assessment and recognition skills, with less emphasis on management.

Seats in this class are limited. Staff who do not routinely care for children or who already take PALS are discouraged from enrolling.
