University phone system upgrade coming Dec. 9 - Dial 7 + 10-digit number from UNC Hospitals' phones

This transition will not affect phones at UNC Hospitals and its clinics. However, because of this upgrade we recommend that everyone begin dialing 7 + the full 10-digit phone number (area code plus 7-digit number).
