ICU Waiting Room to close for renovations

The 2nd Floor ICU Waiting Room will close on Oct. 14 for approximately five weeks due to renovations. During the renovations, family members and guests will be directed to the hospital lobby since the surgical waiting rooms are usually quite full.

As always, we will offer open visitation 24 hours-a-day. Two family members/guests may visit during the day and one overnight.

During the renovations, signs will be posted on the ICU waiting room door and a volunteer will be stationed outside the waiting room to provide information to guests. The small family room across from ICU waiting room will be used for family consults, updates, etc.

Additionally, volunteers will get phone numbers from family members so that we can reach them in an emergency. They will share these numbers with the HUCs for the ICU units so that they have the list as well.

The renovation will provide new lighting, flooring, wall protection, and furniture in the space. Renovations also will provide access to a consult room for family members and guests.
