Wanna Wear One Campaign - Oct. 28-30

On Oct. 28, 29, and 30, UNC Hospitals employees will be wearing an ostomy pouch to show empathy for our ostomy population.

We're organizing our 2nd house-wide initiative to raise aWEARness for ostomates called Wanna Wear One (WWO). The campaign will begin at 8 a.m. on Oct. 28 and run through 6 p.m. on Oct. 30.

On Oct. 30 at 4:30 p.m. in MacNider Room 321 there will be a celebration banquet with free food!

The objectives of the campaign are to:

  • Raise aWEARness among health care professionals and caregivers of ostomates.
  • Empathize with changes to day-to-day life.
  • Encourage appropriate pouching technique.
  • Encourage ostomates to live normal, adventurous lives.

Please sign up for both the WWO event and the banquet (sign-up is separate so that we can get a head count for food).
