The annual UNC Hospitals Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. program is scheduled to take place on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, from 11:45 am – 1 pm in the Children’s Hospital lobby. The keynote speaker will be retired Reverend Landon Lindsay. Reverend Lindsey attended the Boston University School of Theology with Dr. King. There will also be musical selections performed by vocalist Earl Bynum.
During his life’s work, Dr. King was committed to caring about people from all walks of life. This is in direct correlation with our mission here at UNC Hospitals. Our commitment to caring acknowledges the importance of people as one of the pillars vital to our success as an organization.
The program is sponsored, in part, by the UNC Hospitals Shared Governance Nursing Diversity Council and the Employee Relations Department. Please take the opportunity to attend what promises to be a very uplifting program. Encourage your colleagues to do the same. Refreshments will be served at the end of the program.
