OWASA cancels plans to temporarily close Ridge Road to through traffic

OWASA will not close Ridge Road to through traffic between Manning Drive and the Rams Head Parking Deck as previously reported. OWASA's contractor for water line replacement/renewal on Ridge Road between Manning Drive and Boshamer Stadium has resolved a technical issue so that closing both lanes of Ridge Road is no longer necessary. The contractor will continue to close one vehicle lane in work areas along Ridge Road until the project is completed in mid-August, but through traffic will be maintained.

UNC Medical Center is participating in the “Best Places to Work in Healthcare” program created by Modern Healthcare, Modern Physician and Best Companies Group. The program is designed to recognize outstanding places of employment within the healthcare industry. As a part of the program’s process, Best Companies Group picks a random sample of 400 of our employees to complete the online survey.
