Objectives: Train a group of community-based leaders, healthcare providers and Community Health Workers/Promotores on key core competencies using the national certified combined curriculum for Promotores/Community Health Workers (P/CHWs) and Patient Navigators (PN) to be successful in today's rapidly changing labor market and tomorrow's launch of the Affordable Care Act. Registration is necessary.

Aims: To educate Promotores/Community Health Workers (P/CHWs) and Patient Navigators (PN) and other health professionals to identify the roots of medical mistrust and the problem of health literacy in designated communities. Given the importance of delivering a culturally specific education intervention for the medically underserved population, Promotores/Community Health Workers (P/CHWs) and Patient Navigators (PN) must have the tools to properly and effectively address the challenges that revolve around medical mistrust and health literacy.
