Superhero Saturday
Many children dream of becoming superheroes. Last weekend, thanks to California-based nonprofit Capes4Heroes and local collaborators in Chapel Hill, more than 80 pediatric patients at N.C. Children’s Hospital were able to live that dream.

My UNC Chart, UNC Health Care's patient portal, now offers online scheduling for mammography screening at Chatham Hospital, Rex Healthcare, and UNC Hospitals locations. Please help us share and promote this convenient option for our patients.
Crane at Neurosciences Hospital March 28
On Saturday, March 28, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until 1 p.m., there will be a 90-ton crane placed at the Neurosciences Hospital Loading Dock for the lifting of HVAC ductwork associated with the UNC Hospitals Bone Marrow Transplant Renovation Project. During this time period, access to the Anderson Pavilion and Women’s and Children’s Hospitals loading docks will remain open to vehicular traffic. Pedestrian traffic will be routed around the lifting activities.

In celebration of Maundy Thursday, the Department of Pastoral Care is offering the Eucharist (the Lord’s Supper) to patients, family members, and staff.

Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing April 13 - 17
A quarterly inspection and test of the fire alarm and sprinkler systems is taking place throughout the hospital April 13 - 17. Inspection and testing are also taking place at the Imaging & Spine Center, Sanford Dialysis and Sanford Specialty Clinics. The alarm tones and door closings will be held to a minimum. Please excuse any inconveniences this testing may cause. If you have any questions, please contact Plant Engineering at 984-974-0300.

Chapel Hill Transit Holiday Service Schedule
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will operate Saturday services on Friday, April 3, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. CHT will return to regular service on Sunday, April 5. Safe Rides will operate on Thursday, April 2, but will not operate Friday, April 3, through Saturday, April 4.
ICD-10 Program Team chosen for NC Tracks ICD-10 Provider

State Employees Combined Campaign recognition for 2014
On Tuesday afternoon, the SECC had a statewide recognition event at the Governor's Mansion in Raleigh. UNC Health Care fared well in all three categories for which the SECC recognizes agencies.
