‘Dose Verify – Cosign Required’ is a new MAR action. Using ‘Dose Verify – Cosign Required’ action does not require a medication scan, will force a co-signature, and it will populate the dual signature on the MAR. This MAR action should be used to document an independent double-check of the heparin dose when the heparin correlation or Anti Xa value is therapeutic.
The Referrals & Access Leadership Team is very excited to announce a number of improvements to the overall referral order process scheduled to go-live on June 14, 2015. Outpatient Care Services (OCS) Operational Training & Development and ISD Training have partnered to offer instructor-led training classes and WebEx sessions beginning on Wednesday, June 3. All Referral Coordinators and Clinic Managers are required to attend the Advanced Referral Management Instructor-led class.
As part of the Referral & Access Workgroup’s efforts to improve the referral order process in Epic@UNC, the Reporting Workgroup has developed a set of metrics that will be available for users beginning May 29 in Epic@UNC to monitor the overall referral process and help identify areas needing improvement or additional training.
