The campaign encourages all men and women from UNC Health Care to sign a pledge to stand up and speak out against family violence. Those who are interested in participating can sign up beforehand through our e-pledge on our website. On Friday, Oct. 9, we will be giving away Carolina Men Care T-shirts to the pledge participants.

This event will provide resources, activities and FAQs to educate health care providers about the seriousness of family violence. Health care providers play an important part in responding and advocating as a community to end domestic violence.

The campaign is being held during October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our goal this year is to surpass the 600 signatures we received in 2014.

Carolina Men Care is a locally run campaign that corresponds with the international White Ribbon campaign, which promotes non-violence in relationships.
