Vote for Rev. Richard Joyner as CNN Hero of the Year

In April's Real Medicine, we featured Rev. Richard Joyner, Nash Health Care’s Community Liaison and Director of Pastoral Care, for his work combating poverty, hunger, and chronic disease in Conetoe, North Carolina. CNN picked up the story and Rev. Joyner was nominated as a CNN Hero. Recently, CNN named Rev. Joyner as one of its top ten CNN Heroes of the Year, which puts him in the running to earn CNN's overall Hero of the Year. Please vote for Rev. Joyner once a day through Nov. 15 to help the program he founded receive $100,000 toward their work.

Being named a top ten CNN Hero of the Year is an incredible honor -- it means that Rev. Joyner is now in the running to be the top CNN Hero of the Year. If he wins, the program that he founded, Conetoe Family Life Center, will receive $100,000 toward its work.

The CNN Hero of the Year is picked by voters, which means that together the UNC HEALTH CARE FAMILY CAN HELP HIM WIN.

It’s simple. Just visit www.cnnheroes.com to view all of CNN's Top 10 Heroes, then visit this page to cast your vote. You can vote once a day, every day through Nov. 15. Don’t forget to tell your friends and family to vote, too!
