What our patients are saying

  • “When the Internal Medicine staff are professional and polite to each patient, this is a positive reflection on the IM clinic in general and UNC as a whole.”
  • “It was important to him (ENT MD)that I understand the entire treatment process that was to take place and the follow-up plan going forward. No question that I asked was deemed trivial or insignificant, even if had asked that question on a prior visit.”
  • "They (Urology Clinic, Main Campus) think of our feelings and I believe they all treat us like they would want to be treated with courteousness and respect."
  • "We have been with Dr. Milowsky since early 2014.  Dr. Milowski and his staff have always been at their best.  The receptionists have always been cheerful and helpful.  The blood collections unit and the MRI / CT Technicians are so great.  We have had a positive visit every time we have been there. We travel from Wilmington, NC approximately every 6 weeks."

Over the course of the 2016 fiscal year, UNC Medical Center outpatient clinics and diagnostic and therapeutic services cared for more than 1.5 million patients. Despite that high volume, our patient experience scores measured by Press Ganey and compared to our benchmarks continued to improve to an overall score of 79% by year end.

"All of us have been patients. All of us have had loved ones who have been patients. We know that it is rare to remember staff members by name," said Dr. Brian Goldstein, UNC Hospitals Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "The fact that patients are remembering so many of you by name and taking time to provide feedback is special. Something about what you and your managers and your staff are doing in these practices is special. We are very grateful for your care and service."

Thanks and congratulations to all of our award winners and for everyone who provided such excellent care in FY16.
