Beaker Labs educational opportunities for non-lab staff (inpatient, ED, periop)

On April 16, the Epic@UNC Beaker Labs application, which is used to manage labs and specimens, will Go-Live at UNC Medical Center, UNC REX Healthcare, Chatham Hospital, and UNC Physicians Network. Prior to that date, there are many opportunities for clinicians that work outside of the lab to participate in learning activities.

You are encouraged to participate in any of these opportunities to learn more about how specimen collection and management will change in your clinical area. Phlebotomists and staff that work in the labs are busy taking Epic@UNC classes to learn how to use Beaker in their work areas.

Drop-in Sessions

Hands-on drop-in sessions have been arranged so that clinicians can practice printing labels and doing specimen collection documentation. You are invited to attend any of the sessions. These are drop in sessions; so no registration is needed and you do not have the stay the entire time.
