Chapel Hill Transit routes detoured due to Ridge Road closure beginning July 26

Chapel Hill Transit will implement a detour for the A, CCX, DX, RU and U Routes beginning on Tuesday, July 26, due to a major street resurfacing project on Ridge Road. The project will affect all vehicular traffic on Ridge Road and is expected to last roughly three weeks. View full fixed route schedule and route changes.

Lab Memo - Estradiol Testing in Patients Receiving Fulvestrant

An urgent product notification was recently issued by Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. For UNC Medical Center and UNC Physicians Network patients NOT receiving fulvestrant therapy, estradiol testing will continue to be performed in UNC Hospitals Core Laboratory. For patients receiving fulvestrant therapy, estradiol testing by mass spectrometry (send-out test) is recommended to minimize any analytical interference.

Currently, patients receive three 'Recall' phone calls via Televox (the vendor for telephone appointment reminders) to remind the patient to schedule an appointment that is due. Starting Tueday, Aug 2, patients will receive a single phone call 30 days in advance of the target appointment date.

Currently, when an appointment is canceled, Epic@UNC automatically puts that newly opened slot on “Hold” if there are patients on the Waitlist who could fill that slot.
